Privacy Policy

Account information (only if you log in).

• Your mobile phone number, if you log in with a WhatsApp one-time password (OTP).
• Your name, if you choose to add one.
• If you sign in with Google: your Google account name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier.
• On Android, the app can ask Google Play services to suggest your phone number so you do not have to type it. This only happens with your permission, and the number is used just to fill in the login field.

Device and session information. When you log in we store the device name, the app or browser type, the IP address and the time of last use. We use it to keep you signed in, and to show you your signed-in devices so you can sign any of them out.

What you do in WIIMO. Your wishlists and what is in them, your thumbs-up / thumbs-down votes on products, and any product details or photos you submit as a contribution.

Camera. The app asks for camera access only to scan a product’s barcode. The scan happens on your device. We do not record, upload or store camera images; only the barcode number is used to look the product up.

Server logs. Like most websites, our servers record the IP address, browser type and pages requested for each visit. We use them for security, to prevent abuse and to fix problems, and we keep them for about 30 days.

Cookies. On the website we use one cookie that keeps you logged in (it is not readable by scripts and lasts up to 30 days). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

We do not collect your location, your contacts or any payment information.

• To log you in and keep your account secure, including sending OTPs and limiting repeated attempts.
• To provide your wishlists and votes, and to keep votes fair.
• To review and publish product information that users contribute.
• To protect the service from abuse and to fix technical problems.

We do not sell your information, and we do not show advertising.

We use a small number of service providers who handle data on our behalf:

• Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform): delivers your login OTP to your phone number.
• Google: provides Google Sign-In and the optional phone number suggestion.
• DigitalOcean: hosts our servers (in Bengaluru, India).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.

• Login OTPs are valid for 5 minutes and are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form.
• Login sessions expire after 30 days, or earlier if you sign out. Session tokens are stored hashed.
• Account details, wishlists and votes are kept until you ask us to delete them.
• All traffic to wiimo.in uses HTTPS.

No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

You can sign out of any device from your account page. You may ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data.

To delete your account and data, email contact@iquesters.com from the contact you used to sign up, or from an address linked to your account, with the subject “Delete my WIIMO account”. We aim to complete requests within 30 days. Contributions you made to the product database (product details and photos) describe products, not you, and may stay in the database after your account is deleted.

WIIMO is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will highlight significant changes in the app or on the website.
